More Street View improvements

Google's Street View is proving to be extremely useful, but also painfully addictive. I've added the ability to show multiple Street View perspectives for a single bridge. Here are a couple of examples:

Brooklyn Bridge: http://bridgehunter.com/ny/kings/brooklyn/

Twelfth Street Bridge in Kansas City, showing the many levels of this three-level structure: http://bridgehunter.com/mo/jackson/twelfth-street/

Just click the tabs next to the Street View widget to switch between views. Note: Even on a fast connection, it usually takes a few seconds to switch views.

If you have an editor's account, you will need to go to the new "Add Street View" page instead of the bridge's edit page in order to add Street View scenes. This new page includes a built-in map and Street View preview tool so that you can track down the best views without the need to go to the Google website and copy-and-paste code.

Nathan: I accidentally removed the button for managing the street views once they are posted. Look for the yellow "Manage views" button next to the Street View widget.

Nathan,

Using the new tools provided by webmaster, you just click on a new location on the map, adjust the view angle in the window below the map and then click, "use this view".

I still quite often do it old school this way. I open two separate window in my web browser, I also use two monitors but that is not needed. One window is bridgehunter and the other is maps.google.com. On the google screen when I type in an address it puts a red "tear drop" on the address and removing that "tear drop" seems essential before the next step. To remove the tear drop, I type in another city name and this starts a list in the bottom left corner of my browser screen, once I have that list, I can "unselect" the addresses and the "tear drop" goes away. Now I am free to browse and zoom and create the street view I desire.

Any time you post a street view, you can always go back and past a new one into the field in bridgehunter and "save out" and it should work fine.

anyway, that works for me.

How does one edit or delete a StreetView that didn't come out the way you wanted?

Been busy with school and spring break, and yes I have gotten addicted to the street view also. My father has caught me many nights up on the computer on here looking at photos of the street view. I will christen his new computer well with this. At least this has done me some good though I have a 4.0 grade average.

Okay, guys...put down the mouse and step away from the computer. Take a seat here, the twelve-step meeting will begin in just a few minutes.
