Mary Jane was the one smoking.
That's Ugly Pink Dead Horse UPDH.
Wow! Yes sir that is a skewed bridge in the extreme.
Thanks for the reply & the info Robert. I'll check it out on the AHTD web page.
Looking closely at the photos of this bridge and the comment Fred made in his description about bits of bridge lying underneath I can't help but wonder if it was originally one lane and widened to two. The piers are pointed "icebreaker" style . An attribute not usually found on this type of bridge. The natural rock inlay is also an oddity and the concrete in this area looks to have weathered differently like it is an add on. Maybe the original railings were more ornate and were broken up and left under the bridge when the deck and piers were widened and the went back with steel guard rails. Just idle musings for what they are worth. Anyone else has any opinions or some history on the bridge?
I like it , I like it a lot. I have seen a few modern built bow string foot bridges on hiking trails and parks in Arkansas but nothing this long or elaborate. I would definitely like to see more of these spring up around the country.
Well done Mr. Brace. Thanks to you and your wife for saving one for us all. Beautiful restoration work too. Again very well done.
Or in your case there for awhile J.R. purposeful pontists prolifically posting "pink" pics . I'm sorry I just couldn't help myself.
Another beauty and a great restoration. You are making me want to move to Indiana with all these great photos of restored bridges Tony.
Even if I didn't already love old bridges I would have to love one called "Rumbly Bridge".

Mason County couple get bridge souvenir in their bedroom
By The Associated Press
MASON, W.Va. -- A West Virginia couple got an unexpected souvenir from the demolition of the Pomeroy Mason Bridge when a piece of it landed in their spare bedroom.
When workers imploded the top half of a pier Wednesday, the blast sent a football-sized piece through the siding of Steve and Kelly Stewart's house in Mason. Kelly Stewart says the piece landed in a bean bag chair and missed her by a few feet.
She says she was standing in the room filming the demolition.
The pier on West Virginia's side of the Ohio River was the last major remnant of the bridge that linked Mason with Pomeroy, Ohio. A new bridge opened in December.
Wow it's coming along nicely. Yeah the green is nice but I agree with you Tony it blends in too much. I kinda like the ways it looks in the white primer coat. I have seen a couple of Columbia Bridge Works bridges restored and painted white and thought they looked nice.
What a beauty. Shame it is gone now, thanks for posting the photo .
Something is wrong with your new camera J.R. The lighthouse looks white, maybe the pink balance is out of whack.
