American Railroad/Central Canovanas - Puente Río Grande de Loíza
Description
"One of the principal obstructions to building this extension was the replacement of the wooden bridge built by the Loiza Sugar Company over the Río Grande de Loíza river just west of the Canovanas mill. American Bridge Co. built this bridge for the railroad at a cost of $59,473, and made it dual-gauge (meter and 30″ gauge) to facilitate access by the Canovanas railway to its fields on the west shore of the river." - Ferrocarriles de Puerto Rico
