Yes, the bridge and crossing can be improved to hold those weights. The question as to whether they are willing to do that rather than demolish and replace the bridge is another story.

All information relating to the ongoing Section 106 Review (including my own personal comments) is in the public record and may be viewed on Project PATH by downloading the postings at the bottom of the page here https://search.paprojectpath.org/ProjectDetails.aspx?Project...

This bridge was in a scene from the movie Promised Land. Following cleanup from the town fair Matt Damon's character planned for good faith from the gas industry, he is helped by several local guys, along with the actor who played Silas Adams on Deadwood. After the work is done, they cross the Kiski on this Through Truss, while riding in the back of a pick-up. Hopefully this scene will not be the only preserved aspect of this bridge.

I was sad to see the Tunnelton Bridge go. Who travels that crossing anyway? Five people, and me and my dog en-route to the Dam? If this is the fate of the Salina bridge, I would hope it could be saved and used elsewhere.

Thank you,

Good to see pictures of this bridge again. It's been about a year since my visit. Nice side views of this beautiful multi-span truss bridge.
