Description

Brick arch two-lane tunnel which formerly had exposed brick over Burd Coleman Road. In 2010 an underlayment of mesh beneath the gunite (a mortar sprayed on with a hose) was applied to the tunnel over Burd Coleman Road. Also added to the tunnel was a drainage system between the brick ceiling and the gunite that funnels any water leaks to the bottom of the archway. This was necessary because bricks were falling due to poor water drainage.
