Description
Bridge was washed off its abutments on June 22, 1972 (Tropical Storm Agnes) and returned to abutments (raised 17 feet during rebuilding) in 1973.
Bridge was shifted from its foundation by remnants of Tropical Storm Lee in September 2011. Reconstruction and rehabilitation started in August 2013. Charlie Douts, director of the county's facilities management department, said the $818,546 reconstruction project should be open to traffic by the end of the year.
