Description

FROM PA HISTORIC BRIDGE DATA: The 3-span, cantilevered, variable depth, reinforced concrete slab bridge was National Register-listed as a result of the previous survey. The bridge is an unusual design, and has a high degree of technological significance. The plain concrete parapets have been cut down over the western wingwalls. The concrete rail has been lost from the northwest corner of the cantilevered end span.

Farmersville Road Bridge
Posted November 29, 2010, by Nathan Holth (form3 [at] historicbridges [dot] org)

My internet research led to the discovery of this bridge, which was previously not listed here on BridgeHunter, nor have I visited and photographed it for HistoricBridges.org. This bridge is NATIONALLY SIGNIFICANT. Including this bridge I only know of two such bridges nationwide. It is slated for demolition and replacement as soon as currently with-held funds are reinstated.
