Description

Bids for the demolition of the former Enola Low-Grade Line bridge are due in mid-January, but efforts are being made to preserve the bridge instead. The bridge is one of six on the trail that the PUC, citing traffic safety concerns, ordered NS predecessor Conrail to demolish as part of a 1997 deal to transfer the corridor to the municipalities. Other overpasses, including one at U.S. 222, have been demolished.
