thanks luke.just making sure it was still abandoned.i would like to check it out and was just making sure it was still there.
George, the bridge is abandoned
does anyone know the current status of this r.r. bridge?please let me know.thanks.
The bridge is slated to become part of the Erie-to-Pittsburgh Rail Trail. French Creek Valley Conservancy acquired the adjacent land in October 2014 but there were attempts to sell the bridge for scrap. With assistance from the Pennsylvania Environmental Council, FCVC was able to acquire the bridge. The bridge was turned over to the Tri-County Snowblazers, who will work with the Clear Lake Authority and the Council on Greenways and Trails to maintain the bridge as part of the regional trail system in the future.
