Description

Known by locals as the "Overview Bridge" and by railroaders and railfans as the "Iron Bridge," the overpass was a popular vantage point for rail photographers and enthusiasts for decades--so much so that holes were cut into the fencing of the replacement bridge for photographers and a parking lot incorporated into the former western approach to the bridge.

As a kid in 1955 I used to walk across the bridge and across the old highway to the school bus stop.

This bridge, over the Enola Rail Yard, was demolished and rebuilt within the past 15 years or so.
