Dana and Kay,i asked my fiancée who's from this area and she told me the canal was in operation from the late 1800's to the early 1900's.Of course railroads killed the canal shipping.Also I could be off on the years the canal was in operation.

George guessing this is a REALY old bridge, When was union canal in Operation?
