As per an article printed in the Reading Eagle on 5/13/17 PennDOT announced that this bridge will close on Labor Day along with the Shartlesville bridge which will be closed on July 10th.Both of these bridges will be raised from 12 to 16 1/2 feet being the final phase of a $40 million project to reconstruct 6 bridges between Rte. 61 and Rte.183 in Strausstown.Work has been completed on the Rte. 419,Midway,Northkill Rd and Power Drive bridges.PennDOT plans to replace the former Airport Rd bridge which was dismantled several years ago.Target date is late December. These are all of the bridges i have listed right now for Berks County.
