I read in yesterdays local paper that rehabilitation of this bridge is not in the county's transportation plan due to PennDOT funding cuts.

As per an article printed in the Reading Eagle on 11/10/17 a ceremony was held and a plaque unveiled designating this bridge as the name of the military unit i mentioned in the last post.I might have erred saying the bridge will be renamed which is untrue. This bridge still retains its name but is designated honoring the military unit I mentioned in the last post.

As per an article printed in the Reading Eagle on 11/3/17 a ceremony will be held next week to rename this bridge the 65th U.S.Infantry Regiment"The Borinqueneers"Memorial Bridge. This is to honor the all Latino unit that served in both world wars and the Korean War.As far as I'm concerned I see no problem with this that my family members served honorably and these guys deserve recognition.
