Description
This bridge is noted for its distinctive curves, as well as its overall length as it passes over both the Columbia River and Governors Island. The bridge is frequently used as a bypass around the Interstate 5 Bridge during lift operations of the latter bridge, as such operations can be lengthy (~10-20 minutes on average).
