This pedestrian bridge was completed in early 2009 at a cost of $2,035,000.

It won the 2010 Portland Cement Association Concrete Bridge Award for excellence in design and construction.

While I should stay neutral on the matter, I can’t help but comment. It is a shame that they turned this interesting little cable stayed structure into a glorified sign bridge. Notice the huge highway signs on the right side of the structure in the photos.

I came across this bridge on a Jones Soda bottle. Jones Soda allows its fans to submit their photos for possible use on labels. Sara K. Adams of Eugene, Oregon took the image seen on the bottle here. Jones Soda indicates the image as number 1335086 in their archive. Her view is from the North looking South.
