This bridge was initially identified as Krewson Covered Bridge (also Pass Creek Bridge) over Pass Creek in Drain. However, some critical differences in this bridge and the Krewson Bridge are evident. This bridge has rounded portal openings and exterior buttress braces. These features are not included in the Krewson Covered Bridge. The sign on the bridge declares the vertical clearance to be 13 feet 9 inches. Most likely, this is the Boswell Springs Covered Bridge in Douglas County. The Boswell Springs Covered Bridge was built in 1922 and was 64 feet long. It was located 3 miles south of Drain.
