Design
The Molalla River Bridge is a three span Warren deck truss with three parallel truss lines and perpendicular outward truss members. These outward members allowed for a wider deck while keeping a narrower compact truss. The bridge originally carried two-way traffic but a second bridge was built parallel and to the west in 1963, which allowed the 1936 bridge to carry only northbound traffic.
