This bridge is actually owned by Union Pacific on an embargoed section of track. The Arkansas-Oklahoma Railroad is slowly rehabilitating the track eastwards from Shawnee, with the idea of leasing it from UP and putting it back into service, connecting with their own tracks at McAlester. Someday, in the near future, it is possible AOK trains will cross over this bridge.
