Oct. 25 1970...at the end of the dirt road (turn around) I witnessed my father trying to drown my pregnant mother. He tried to hog-tied her with a chain. I believe we were one of the last people to cross this bridge back then. I remember a car having to back down that ramp, because of the cracking of the boards. I would be punished here for saving my mom's life. This was my father's first attempt on my mother's life.

what memories! i can remember driving across this bridge just for the fun of it. we used to swim and fish here. i thought for sure it was gone. happy to see it isnt.
