I am going to do some looking down in Elizabeth Park area, it may be referring to a bridge down there. I observed a few bridges down there that could be masonry arches. The old North Hill Viaduct was replaced a long time ago.
apparently not the old north hill viaduct if you go by the attached map. possibly case st. or bank st. or possibly east market st which is Ohio Route 18.
I believe this is referring to the North Hill Viaduct Bridge in Akron. The concrete arch viaduct was composed of 19 spans and was built to carry North Main Street (former Ohio Route 8) over North Avenue and the Little Cuyahoga Valley, connecting Downtown Akron with North (Hill) Akron. The site is approximately 2/3 mile west of the aforemention high level bridge which carries present-day Ohio Route 8 (an expressway) over the same valley. The bridge was replaced some 32 years ago by the All-American Y-bridge just to the east. This newer bridge connects to High Street/Broadway Street on its south end and uses a re-alignment to present-day North Main St at its North end.
If this bridge exists it is not associated with Rte 8. Rte 8 crosses the Little Cuyahoga River in the form of an impressive high level bridge.
