Third Street Southeast Bridge
Posted May 7, 2010, by Avery (tmeader5 [at] woh [dot] rr [dot] com)

This bridge was a big part of my childhood. My first day of kindergarten my big brother had to carry me across. I was afraid I'd fall through the grated footpath, lol. My friends and I thought we would one day build a raft and take off down the creek like Huck Finn. We use to make a wish and spit from the bridge into creek. Believing it would carry our wishes with it, and they would come true. That old bridge saw me on my way to play in the park, baseball practice, and school. Funny how one can miss a bridge.
