Hmmmm.... Let's allow an historic bridge that is already within the confines of the park to be destroyed, and then go out and acquire another one and move it to the park.

Makes perfect sense to me!

Ohio DNR has written a letter to the county indicating they wish to work with the county to relocate this bridge to Hueston Woods State Park, when the county moves forward with plans to replace this bridge.

I liken it to a PENNDOT mentality......they just don't care!

They could have very easily welded the brace just above the plaque. I can't understand why someone would do this.

There has been discussion on this site in the past about how plaques are sometimes covered over with ugly, modern signage.

I visited this span yesterday, and was shocked to find that they had actually welded the post for a reflector....to the face of the plaque!
