Description 

The old Jefferson Street stone canal bridge constructed in 1856 (From April 7th, 1856 and December 8th 1856) by David Morrison and taken down in 1887. The bridge was considered a wonderful piece of engineering. Mr. Morrison made a wooden model of it and the competition stole it. However, Mr. Morrison beat the other fellows to the contract.
