Craig Memorial Bridge

Currently, the city of Toledo is converting this bridge from an interstate hwy bridge into a local street crossing. Workmen are filling the former I-280 "trenches" and making streets and parkland at both ends of the bridge. The Veterans Memorial Glass City Skyway is an iconic structure. I drove across the bridge in March. It is impressive.

Veterans' Glass City Skyway

Veterans' Glass City Skyway replaces the Craig Memorial Bridge as the crossing of I-280 over the Maumee River. It's not yet an historic bridge, beyond ODOT's claim that "single project ever undertaken by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT)!" Begun in April 1999, it opened to traffic in 2007.
