I realize the bridge is listed as 1898, but I suspect the superstructure dates to 1889 -1892 based on the portal design. Also, 1898 is very late for a Whipple. I'm guessing if someone researches this, they will find that someone transposed some numbers a long time ago - 1889?

Not my favorite color, but it's much better than silver and rust. Overall, it looks like they did a great job!

On 3 July 2014, the Dean Road Bridge reopened after renovation. Primary contractor was Mid-Ohio Structures of Norwalk. Funding was 80% federal and 20% ODOT, Lorain, and Erie Counties.
