A very impressive bridge noted for its tall pin-connected trusses, massive stone piers, large skew, and age. Built in 1893, it may be the oldest bridge over the Maumee River.

I believe the total length listed for this bridge is in error. Adding up the lengths of the four through truss spans and one plate girder span gives an overall length of around 670 feet, a length supported by the measuring tool on Google Maps.

Defiance Railroad Bridge

This bridge is a portion of the old Wabash Railroad South Fork main-line (Toledo, OH to Hannibal, MO). Still in use by a short-line rail road that operates between Liberty Center, OH and Fort Wayne, IN.
