Humpback Bridge
Posted August 26, 2013, by Angela Ackley (teachersdesk [at] yahoo [dot] com)

I have lived within sight of this bridge for more than 50 years. Today it is in terrible disrepair because of its closing to traffic, including foot traffic as well. The actual accident that sparked the closure (part of a lawsuit's adjudication) involved an unsupervised child who stepped out in the path of car from some surrounding bushes. The car was going over the summit of the bridge. The driver could not possibly see the child due to the angle of the car caused by the construction of the bridge. It's difficult to explain in words, but understandable in person.
