Description
The Mario Cuomo Memorial Bridge, often referred to as the New Tappan Zee Bridge is the replacement for the Malcom Wilson Bridge, a cantilevered truss bridge that was gradually failing and sinking into the river.
The Mario Cuomo Bridge is a modern cable-stayed bridge and was widely advertised as the “New NY Bridge”.
