July 1975 The two car Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines weekend train approaches the tower at Tuckahoe, NJ. The tower operator hoops orders to the conductor. The RDC's then separate with the lead car going to Cape May and the second car to Ocean City. The bridge operator at the Crookhorn swing bridge makes a trial run closing and opening the bridge. He then closes it and waves the train across.

Ring gear on bridge failed Aug. 13, 1981, forcing abandonment of all rail service to Ocean City two months later on Oct. 5th. Abandoned bridge removed by NJ DOT November 1992 to widen channel.
