I used to work for the Missouri Department of Conservation trapping and studying 0tters on the Roubidoux River in Texas County. We launched canoes from this bridge and drove over it almost everyday from May to September in 2007, so the flood that took out this bridge had to have happened after Sept. 2008.
one last pic as we said goodbye to the saint anna bridge

this bridge is now closed. it has been swept off the foundations during floods. none of it is attached to the main approach and one half of it is still connected but is lying downstream in Roubidoux Creek. we were able to walk across the different sections of it, but a few more floods is all it will probably take to make this bridge nothing but a memory.
This brige was wiped out in the spring floods of 2008 maybe 2007. I will try to get pictures of what it looks like this weekend Aug 8, 2009
