BNSF - I-270 Overpass

Photos

Overview

Only one span is visible in this photo, but you can tell by the double piers that there are two railroad bridges crossing this deep cut required by I-270. This photo was taken from the eastern end of the Big Bend Road overpass, looking towards the southwest.

I-270 BNSF RR Twin Bridges
Posted September 18, 2011, by Remick Bloss (madirea [at] cox [dot] net)

AWESOME!!!!We now have pictures of these two bridges. I can now build the I-270 scene on my O gauge Frisco rr Rolla Sub. My train room will actually have 2 rrs, double-decked. On the top is the HO scale Kansas City, Ottumwa, & Western, and on the lower deck will be the O gauge Frisco RR. I have been picturing this scene for some time now and can almost see a Frisco train headed by a Williams or Weaver red and white lash-up of 3 diesels bringing a train across I-270 on its way to Springfield! Ship it on the Frisco!!
