The year of construction, 1967, appears four times on this bridge's center pier. The "Frisco Ry" was the former name of the railroad (St. Louis - San Francisco Railway),

Shrewsbury Avenue BNSF RR Overpass
Posted October 3, 2010, by Mark Dellbringge

An almost exact duplicate of this bridge also exists at the crossing over Laclede Station Road a little further to the west. Like this Shrewsbury BNSF RR overpass, it also has the year of construction - 1967 - appearing four times on the bridge's center pier. Unfortunately, it was not possible to get a deck view that day I took the pictures because of all the trees and growth on the embankments, and for as far as I could see around the span.

Glad you liked the photos. Unfortunately I have no way to get to th location where the BNSF crosses I-270 attm, I have to put that on my wish list.

Love this picture!!!!Do you have any photos of the I-270 overpass? I-270 runs in a deep cut underneath 2 former Frisco bridges and heads to the airport.
