Description

The connection between Vandeventer and Market opened on September 26, 1956 and eliminated a major bottleneck since the Express Highway (US 40) ended past Vandeventer. The contractor, EJ Latta was given so much leeway that the project was delayed by a year. After this experience, all contracts were given a completion date.
