Jefferson Avenue Viaduct Over METROLINK and Mill Creek Railyard, Phase II is currently 96% complete. Disregarding the final checklist items, the general public may notice final asphalt work between immediately south of LaSalle and the new concrete pavement of the south approach immediately north of Chouteau, the staining of the MSE walls, and planting in the landscaped median. The project is scheduled to be complete both ahead of schedule and under budget.
The first three pictures are of the old bridge. The fourth picture is of the southbound mainline taken from the approximate center of the bridge. The fifth picture is of the northbound mainline taken from the northern project limits on the day that the new Jefferson Avenue Viaduct was first opened to regular vehicular traffic in the northbound direction only. The sixth picture is of the current structure.
