Gasconade River US 63 Bridge
Description
This was a very high, long bridge. The approach from the north was around a right turn, down a hill, and on to the 18 foot wide bridge--dangerous if you didn't know it was there. The guard rails were pipe. Meeting oncoming traffic was anxiety producing and an oncoming semi truck required slowing and hugging the rail. Although I wish they had left it up as a relic, I feel a lot better driving the new alignment.
