Long Grove Road Bridge

If you want to save the bridge, you have to get started now. If you take a look at the News on the front page, you'll see several articles about the Michigan Street Bridge in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. The people there really got organized to save their bridge, and it would make a good model for you to follow.

Good luck! There are too many places recognize the value of their historic structures - after they've been destroyed.

Long Grove Road Bridge

I drove the entire length of Long Grove road today, and this bridge is no longer there. If it was built in 1970, and according to the inspection ratings listed here.. it was in good condition, I have no idea WHY it would have been replaced. There is currently a UCEB in it's place. As far as I can tell, Lafayette county only has ONE pony truss bridge reamining that is owned by the county, and that is the Curtis Road Bridge. I'd love to try and save it somehow, but I don't know where to start, being a novice at all this.
