SWM - Carterville Viaduct

To affirm Phil Denton, i've been looking through old MODOT road maps that seem to indicate that US66 traveled over this now-missing viaduct as well.

Carterville Rail Viaduct

Hello: Perhaps my memory is not serving me well, but I remember going over this wooden deck bridge in the early to mid 1950's traveling on Route 66. We traveled on this stretch 2 or 3 times a year visiting relatives. I even remember when a sign was posted at the east end stating that the builing was scheduled to be torn down in the fall. (I do not remember the year). Am I right about this being used by cars as part of Route 66? Thanks. Phil Denton
