Description

Approach spans to a bridge. The center span is gone with no evidence in the stream nearby. The east approach has been undermined by the creek and the west has partially collapsed. There is evidence of a pipe railing but no markings to give date or other info. It appears that the center span rested on the approaches. It might have been removed or displaced by flooding. There's no indication whether the bridge was removed from service before or after damage to the approaches. Browning Road takes a different alignment to the north of the creek to intersect Smart Road 500 feet to the east. The 1951 Jackson County Highway map shows Browning Road on an alignment over this bridge.
