A good portion of the bridge was destroyed by flooding, October 1, 2019. From NS press release:
Train service between Moberly and Kansas City, Missouri, has been suspended on account of the Grand River Bridge in Brunswick, Missouri, being out of service due to a debris strike caused by heavy rains. NS personnel are assessing the situation. There is no estimate on when the bridge will be restored to service.
Saw a video this evening of this bridge being washed out, with at least the center spans completely lost.
