Auxvasse Creek CR 132 Bridge
This bridge was out of service for many years. The locals called it "Broken Bridge" . When I first saw it in 1974 it had no deck and the entire structure leaned slightly to the right.
The county for many years had a low water crossing there. Actually you forded the creek, there was no structure of any type crossing the river. One time I got my truck stuck there just a few feet into the water. A local came along and offered help but I turned him down because I already had help coming. As he pulled away he said to me "Well, ya just gotta know where to cross at here." He proceeded on to cross the river himself only to get stuck just like me. My tow tuck driver wound up with a two for one special that day.
