The brackets are designed to hold guardrails, but those were never installed when this bridge was refurbished.

Identifying marks

Faintly visible is a "G-318" notation, referring to the state highway inventory number for this bridge when it was first built. The top chord has "7.31.79" stenciled on it, which is likely when this bridge was last painted.
