- Basic Marine Inc. of Escanaba, Michigan (M/V SUGAR ISLANDER II)
Design
Operated by Eastern Upper Peninsula Transportation Authority. Double ended ferry, propeller and rudder at each end. Normally, the propeller at the aft end of the vessel is used in crossing while the other one remains idling. On the return trip, the other engine is used.
