Description 

In 1954 the Iron Bridge that crosses Main Street between the Scales Building and the Guilford Woolen Mill, was dynamited and dropped into the Piscataquis River where it was dismantled. (mainememory.net)

The dedication photo on this page is dated 1901, but LostBridges gives the date of demise of the previous covered bridge as 1907.
