Description

Town Lattice Truss covered bridge built in 1886. It survived the flood of 1938 which destroyed many of the surrounding local covered bridges. There was a plan to abandon the bridge in 1952, but local residents fought the measure, and the two towns decided to keep the bridge. The town dump on the Ware side was closed to keep heavy trucks from using the bridge. A new floor was installed in 1966.
