I just returned from a trip to the East Coast. During a visit to Boston, I visited the Public Garden and walked across the bridge. It's such a charming little thing.
Thanks, I fixed the name to remove the "S"
Thanks for posting the information on this remarkable little bridge. I was unaware that architect William G.Preston, who designed a number of notable buildings for MIT's original Back Bay Boston campus, is also responsible for this sweet gem of a bridge. For the record, the official name of the lovely Boston park where the bridge sits is "The Boston Public Garden," not "Gardens."
Thanks, Bridgehunter, for your fine work on this most worthy topic, U.S. Bridges!
