Old Bridge Street Bridge

Map

Description

This is the bridge over the Nemasket River on the original realignment of Bridge Street. Bridge Street was realigned, and the new bridge on the through alignment opened in 1968. Old Bridge Street doesn't actually exist on the Middleborough side of the river, as vehicle traffic is blocked before the bridge itself on the Lakeville side. The road ends abruptly after the bridge as the Ocean Breeze factory is now on the old right-of-way in Middleborough.
