I suspect that "Bravo Corporation (substructure)" is a typo and should be Dravo Contracting Co. (aka Dravo Corporation)
Now THAT is a great bridge photo!
The old bridge (the "K" truss) is still open to traffic. This 1933 bridge is the old US Hwy 90 bridge and is open to local traffic and is now designated as LA Hwy 182. The newer adjacent bridge now carries US Hwy 90 traffic. As far as I know, there are no plans to remove the old bridge.
Is the old bridge next to it open to traffic? Is it in danger of removal? Would like more information and pics posted. I like the classic "K" truss design of it.
This bridge is in maintenance mode (06/2020). One 16-ft lane each direction. Maintenance includes painting, fastener replacement, and other repairs as needed.
This bridge has had minimal maintenance and no serious repairs since it was opened in 1977.
It should be between a year and a half and two year project.
