They need to build a bridge there to compliment the Audubon Bridge. This would create a corridor from I-49 to I-55.

Recent photos of the ferry at Melville.The ferry operates on weekdays only.The Union Pacific Atchafalaya River Bridge can also be viewed from the ferry slip on both sides of the river.
