This bridge already has an entry, so the duplicates should all be merged.

The Southern Pacific railroad merged with the Union Pacific railroad in the mid 1990s; I've adjusted the description of the bridge to reflect this. However, I left the name as the SP bridge to reflect the name by which it might be more commonly referred.

The Southern Pacific railroad bridge is definitely still there. It is used every single day. The KCS bridge which was north of the Southern Pacific bridge was damaged during a storm in 1980. The KCS bridge was demolished and is no longer there.

The bridge is currently shown at a location where there is no railroad crossing.

What evidence is there for the existence and location of this bridge? Might it be the bridge already listed, on the river, just north of I-10?

A bridge similar to this is at 30.238183, -93.246938, but one truss has been replaced with a girder span. Could this be the correct location of this bridge?
