KCS - Cross Bayou "A" Bridge[Map · Street View] Waddell "A" truss bridge over Cross Bayou on the Kansas City Southern Railroad in Shreveport, near Spring Street. One of only 2 surviving Waddell "A" truss bridges in the US, the Linn Creek Bridge in Missouri being the other. Abandoned Originally built in 1890 over the Arkansas River in Oklahoma. Re-erected over Cross Bayou adjacent to downtown Shreveport in 1926. Used by KCS into the 1980's.
